Through five decades, millions of words have been written about Frank Sinatra, some in praise of arguably the best handler of a song ever born, some hoping to destroy the legend. But the truth is more likely to be found in the many photographs of the man, particularly those taken by friend of the stars Terry O’Neill.
All the prints are signed by Terry O’Neill and are presented in strictly limited editions. All the prints are hand printed in black and white.
Terry O’Neill had an enviably close relationship with Frank. This intimacy is evident in the series personally selected by Terry O’Neill for the exhibition in Dubai commencing March 1, 2009.
“I first met Sinatra on the set of Lady in Cement: every morning I used to watch him walking to work along the boardwalk. It was 1968, Miami Beach. My friend Ava Gardner knew I admired him and offered to write a letter of introduction. They'd been divorced 10 years, but I walked up to him and handed him the letter. I've no idea what it said, but it opened every door. He read it, looked me in the eye and said, 'You're with me, kid”, Terry O’Neill.
