Optimism and hope are the central themes in the series, ‘Onwards – Upwards’. The ebb and flow of life’s journey is represented in a gold silk screen layer whilst, in the background, a montage of winding steps represent an unfolding story. The climb can be difficult at times but the sense of ‘not knowing what is around the corner’ offers hope and excitement.
