Both Leo Gorcy(the lead actor in the ‘Dead End Kids’, the 30’s movie series) and Mahatma Gandhi were removed from the actual LP cover ‘montage’, the former because he demanded a $400 fee, the latter because the Beatles record company EMI were concerned that his inclusion may cause offence in India. However, both can be seen in all the Sgt Pepper out takes. You’ll see Gandhi in the front row, far right, behind Diana Dors, and Gorcy in the top row, fourth from right. Unique Sgt Pepper out takes
