Success with smaller items has encouraged g-1 to steadily broaden its product offer. More recently, it has focused product development on such items, greatly expanding its proposition to consumers. From themed note cards, posters, postcard packs and even playing cards, the stores have created a very broad base of quality paper and print based items. ‘We want to encourage our customers to stay longer in our gallery stores’, commented CEO Gregg Sedgwick. ‘Often, a customer will be very happy to browse artworks but only buy a postcard – we encourage this kind of shopping because we create community this way’.
